Kentucky Horse Park Run/Walk Club

The popular Kentucky Horse Park Run/Walk Club returns to the park on Monday nights this summer, May 6 through July 29 but not Memorial Day May 27. Each event night is free and open to people of all ages who would like to run or walk the park’s scenic grounds, each event is family-friendly, and leashed dogs are welcome. May music entertainment includes May 6 – Kevin Dalton; May 13 – Chelsea Nolan; and May 20 – Derek Isaacs.

Rood & Riddle Grand Prix / Hats Off Day

Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital is the proud sponsor of the Rood & Riddle Kentucky Grand Prix, a premier show jumping competition held annually at the Kentucky Horse Park for the past 25 years, with a $50,000 grand prize! The Kentucky Grand Prix provides spectators with the excitement and drama found only in the most competitive sporting events. Top-level show jumpers are guaranteed to impress the crowd as they soar over thirteen, 5-foot fences. Join us and witness the athletic ability of Grand Prix Show Jumpers and the teamwork of horse and rider! And on the same day, Hats Off to Kentucky's Horse Industry Day is a celebration of the horse and its impact on the state of Kentucky. The day offers fun family and top competition at the Kentucky Horse Park!

Hats Off Day

Hats Off to Kentucky's Horse Industry Day (Hats Off Day) is the only day of the year that entrance to the Kentucky Horse Park is free. This popular event is a day of family-friendly events designed to celebrate the horse and will be held on July 29 from 4 to 10 p.m. 2017's theme is "Memories of Man O' War" and the day will include activities to honor the well-known horse legend. All festivities, including horse and pony rides, games, and show jumping competition, are also free. Hats Off Day is presented by Official Partner Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital with free admission sponsored by Central Bank and additional sponsorship by Zoetis, Boehringer Ingelheim and other industry leaders.

CASA Superhero 5K/1K

Benefit/Fundraiser, For the Family, Health & Wellness/Nutrition

Superheroes of all ages will gather at the Kentucky Horse Park for the CASA Superhero Run. This is not your typical 5K! There will be superhero figurines along the course that can be redeemed at the finish line for special prizes. The 1K will start at 8:30 a.m. followed by the 5K at the conclusion or at 9 a.m. (whichever is later). Afterwards, there will be a variety of activities for all ages including costume contests for kids, adults, teams and pets all complete with prizes. There will also be games, inflatables, food, crafts, face painting and more. Bring your family and join our league of superheroes! Are you up for an even bigger challenge? We are asking at least 100 people to raise a minimum of $100. This funding will allow us to provide more CASA advocates to children in need. Be a true CASA superhero and join us in our #100people100dollars Challenge! Fundraising prizes will be given at the Superhero Run.

Comic Xperience

Comic Xperience is a brand new two-day comic conference coming to Lexington, KY this September. On Saturday, September 7th and Sunday, September 8th comic book enthusiast will be able to gather at Alltech Arena located at the Kentucky Horse Park. Comic Xperience is the comic conference that focuses on the art, the story lines, the history, the creating and the enjoyment of comics! A place where beginners and serious collectors can come together to learn, share, buy, trade and collect one of a kind pieces from artists themselves. Seth Boyd, Founder and Creator, has been a comic book collector for over 20 years and has turned his hobby into a business. Starting with collecting, selling online and meeting industry leaders, then moving to open a brick and mortar comic store, The Vault Comics & Collectibles, and ultimately now hosting Comic Xperience. With Seth’s passion, knowledge and industry connections, this conference is sure to be a unique experience for all involved. National Horse Show

Southern Lights Stroll – Presented by the KHP Foundation

Lace up, head out and help The Kentucky Horse Park turn on the lights! The Kentucky Horse Park invites you to help set the Holiday Season in motion as you join the 2019 Southern Lights Stroll on Thursday, November 14th at 6:30pm (competitive 5K), the stroll/walk starting immediately after. Imagine seeing the holiday lights on foot, set in the magnificent surroundings of the Kentucky Horse Park. This year you can team up with 3 Way Racing to provide chip timing for the competitive 5K race, complete with awards. Additional activities include complimentary Mini Train Rides and refreshments!
