Todd Rundgren

Rock,Pop

After starting in the Philadelphia-area band Nazz in the mid-'60s ("Open My Eyes"), Rundgren took off as a star in the early '70s, with many hits, including "Hello, It's Me," "I Saw the Light" and a for-note replication of The Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations." He also started the band Utopia in the late '70s, and had three critically acclaimed albums with them in the early '80s. In recent years, he has performed both on his own (that included a mid-'90s tour during the lounge craze, where he played tiki versions of his hits) and with Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band, but he returned to the limelight in 2017 with the politically charged album "White Knight"; it which featured the single "Mr. Tin Foil Hat," co-written with and sung by Steely Dan's Donald Fagen.
