Andy Palmer

Acoustic

Born in Frankfort, Kentucky, Andy Palmer grew up in a musical family during the 1970's and 80's and was fascinated at an early age by the music that came out of the living room where his Dad and brothers practiced in their band several nights a week. Influenced by Outlaw Country like Willie, Waylon and Merle along with Southern Rockers like Molly Hatchet, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackfoot, he is also a rabid fan of heavy metal and blues. As a seasoned professional, he has been playing music professionally since the early 1990's, giving him almost 30 years to hone his craft. He has played in several bands over the years and shared the stage with the likes of Craig Wayne Boyd, Eddie Montgomery and Hank Williams, Jr's Bama Band, but has found that what he does best is acoustic shows! He has an eclectic selection of songs that he plays along with a unique and engaging show that will satisfy any crowd of folks starving for good, live entertainment at any venue, whether it be a party crowd, a quiet crowd that just likes to listen, or anything in between! From classic rock, old country, acoustic blues, folk and everything else, Andy Palmer truly "does it all. Food Truck on Site: Buns Smokehouse BBQ

Kevin Holm-Hudson

Acoustic

By day, Dr. Kevin Holm-Hudson is Professor of Music Theory at the University of Kentucky; by night, he plays keyboards in Lexington’s British pop-rock stalwarts The Twiggenburys and is also an active solo songwriter in his own right. Growing up on the mean suburban streets of Wilmington, Delaware, Dr. Holm-Hudson channels his unresolved middle-class angst and hormone-hijacked adolescence into his tuneful and articulate songs. His earliest songwriting influences include Randy Newman, Todd Rundgren, Neil Young, and Paul Simon. Accompanying himself on guitar and keyboard, with a diverse stylistic palette running from Americana to blues, rock, and jazz and styles as changeable as the Kentucky weather, expect an entertaining and always surprising evening of top-notch music and songwriting.
